Biography
Louise was part of the mid 90’s girl band phenomenon Eternal, before embarking on a highly successful solo career selling over 4 Million records in the UK alone. Her profile was elevated even higher after her marriage to Liverpool and England footballer, Jamie Redknapp. A popular figure with the boys, she had the ultimate accolade of being named FHM’s sexiest woman of the decade in 2004.
Eternal were hugely successful, becoming the first all girl group to sell over a million copies of their debut album in the UK. Louise went solo in 1995 and her first album, 'Naked', was a huge smash, spawning 5 hits, selling over 1 million copies and managing to conceive some very sexy accompanying videos. In 1997, Louise set off on her first UK tour, playing at over 20 sell out venues across the country including Wembley Arena.
Louise released a further 3 albums, 'Woman In Me', 'Elbow Beach' and 'Changing Faces' along with 7 more hit singles, before embarking on another UK tour in 2002. She then turned to presenting, with a stint on SMTV Live / CDUK; her charming and down to earth style making her popular with the viewers. She hit the UK Top 5 of the UK singles charts again with "Pandora's Kiss" in 2003, which was released to raise money for Breast Cancer care.
in 2004 Louise took time out to build her family with husband Jamie, she gave birth to son Charley in July 2004. She was the face for some key campaigns in 2006 including Flora's Omega 3 and has already fronted campaigns in the past for O2, Jesire, Tickled Pink, Think Happy and Safe and White amongst others.
In 2006 Louise was signed up as one of the new presenters of the cult tv show 'The Clothes Show', and in 2007 Louise was at the centre of the 'Size Zero' debate with her RDF and ITV1 documentory 'The Truth About Size Zero' which was hailed as one of the TV hits of the 2007 with almost 6 million viewers when it was aired on 7th March. 2007 also saw Louise present another two series of the UKTV Style hit The Clothes Show. She also became brand Ambasador for Triumph International, Avon's Liiv, Orbit Complete and Go Ahead!.
In January 2008 She launched the 'Know Your Figure' campaign with Boots, and throughout the year continued her work with Wrigley's Orbit Complete, Avon and Triumph. In March Louise teamed up with BBC's Sport Relief to take part in the Celebrity version of the huge BBC hit 'The Apprentice'. The winter saw Louise and the rest of the Redknapp family team up with Nintendo to promote their Wii console and in November Louise gave birth to her and Jamie's second child, a son named Beau Henry.
2009 was to be an equally as busy year for Mrs Redknapp, she continued her work with Nintendo, Obrit Complete and Triumph, as well as fronting the ITV1 documentary tackling the subject of the pressures to loose weight after pregnancy 'The Truth About Super Skinny Pregnancies'. She was a guest presener on BBC2's Something For The Weekend with Tim Lovejoy and fronted FIVE's reality show Farmer Wants A Wife.
2010 Starts with Louise being a perminant Presenter of 'Something For The Weekend' on BBC2 and she also takes to the panel as a Judge on BBC1's hit 'So You Think You Can Dance'.
All this and she still has plans for her music career but only when the time is right.
